PRINCE 2007: Colts vs. Bears
In 2007, the Indianapolis Colts beat the Chicago Bears in Hard Rock Stadium with a 29-17 win. Prince had one of the most memorable Super Bowl performances. He had an iconic performance because one of his special guests was the Florida A&M Marching Band. He performed big hits such as “Purple Rain,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” and also, he performed a cover of “We Will Rock You” by The Queens. BLACK EYED PEAS 2011: Steelers vs Packers
The 2011 Super Bowl hosted the Steelers vs. the Packers at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Packers beat the Steelers 31-25 at the Super Bowl. The Black Eyed Peas sang iconic songs such as “I Gotta Feeling,” “Boom Boom Pow,” and “Let’s Get It Started.” The special guests were Slash and Usher and they sang Usher’s hit song “OMG.” Then, Slash sang a cover of “Sweet Child o’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses. It was a night to remember and the game along with the performance will forever be remembered.
KATY PERRY 2015 : Patriots vs Seahawks
At the 2015 Super Bowl the Patriots and the Seahawks battled it out. In the end the New England Patriots won 28 – 24. Everyone remembers the remarkable halftime performance with the background dancer dressed as a shark that couldn’t remember their choreography. Time Magazine says, “ She was indeed a firework. Katy Perry justified the NFL’s trust in her with a dynamic, wild show that traded the technical song-and-dance competence of predecessors like Beyoncé for an emphasis on showmanship.” She performed her famous songs such as “Roar,” “Firework,” “Teenage Dream,” and “Dark Horse.” This halftime show will be one to remember for generations.
RIHANNA 2023: Chiefs vs Eagles
At the 2023 Super Bowl, the Chiefs and the Eagles played in a brutal game. The game ended in a Chiefs win by 38 – 35. Billboard has said, “Rihanna‘s Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show is officially the most-watched halftime show performance of all time, according to an adjusted Nielsen report Tuesday May 2, 2023.” She announced that she would be having a special guest, later on to reveal a baby bump that announced her pregnancy. She played her famous songs like “Work,” “Umbrella,” “We Found Love,” and “Diamonds.” Her performance was one of a kind.
